“We like to think of our champions and idols as superheroes who were born different from us. We don’t like to think of them as relatively ordinary people who made themselves extraordinary.”
—Carol Dweck, Psychologist and Author
In recent years, thousands of self-help books have been written, and I’ve read many of the popular ones. However, as we all know, in real life, one book cannot change your outlook on life. You need a wealth of knowledge, experiences, failures, successes, and, most importantly, stability in your life. Stability might seem like a monotonous lifestyle, but it’s not; our thoughts make our lives monotonous, not our actions.
Think of yourself as swimming in a vast sea, trying to find land. How can you stop swimming in the sea? It’s impossible—you need to keep going. To sustain your life, you cannot give up swimming; you only need a purpose to keep yourself motivated. This is the key point. Complaining will not provide a solution; it’s just a waste of time. Therefore, you must continue to move forward and bravely focus on your purpose.
